Marisa Smith, eos implementer, on the psychology of eos

About the Workshop

EOS® is simple. Implementing it is not easy. And if you've ever watched a client nod along in a session, then show up three months later like nothing stuck, you already know that tools alone don't create change. People do.

This full-day workshop goes inside the science of why EOS works. Marisa Smith and Dr. Dorella Bond, Ph.D. (psychologist, professor, and Marisa's mom) team up to give you a practical understanding of the psychological principles that drive how teams learn, resist, and ultimately change. You'll understand why the 90-day wall happens, why certain clients keep circling the same issues, and what's actually going on when a leadership team seems stuck despite doing all the right things.

You'll also spend time exploring yourself as an Implementer. Your patterns, your tendencies, your own relationship to change. Because the best Implementers don't just teach EOS. They model what healthy change actually looks like.

If you've read the new ROLLOUT book by Marisa and Beth Fahey, this workshop is a natural next step. It deepens the thinking behind the matrix and gives you language and tools for the moments the book can't fully prepare you for.

What You'll Gain

Deeper Mastery of EOS®

Go beyond the tools and into the why. You'll leave with a clear understanding of the psychological principles that make EOS work, so you can hold the model with more confidence, know when to flex and when to hold firm, and stop second-guessing the process when clients push back.

Client Breakthroughs

When you understand what's driving resistance, you can meet clients where they actually are, not where you need them to be. You'll gain a sharper ability to read the room, ask better questions, and create the conditions that allow real change to take hold.

New Strategies for Tough Moments

Every Implementer hits the same walls: the 90-day slump, the resistant leadership team, the issue that keeps coming back no matter how many times you solve it. You'll walk away with practical, psychology-backed tools to navigate those moments with clarity instead of frustration.

Personal Growth as an Implementer

The best Implementers know that their own patterns show up in the room too. This workshop gives you space to get honest about your tendencies, your blind spots, and how your relationship to change shapes the experience your clients have with EOS.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is built for experienced EOS Implementers who know the hard part is rarely the tools. It's the people. If you're past the early learning curve and find yourself hitting the same friction points with clients, repeating yourself more than you'd like, or wondering why a leadership team doing everything right still can't get traction, this room is for you. Come ready to dig in and leave with a sharper understanding of the human side of EOS.

EOS Implementers who have completed more than 50 sessions with clients and are ready to move beyond the mechanics into the psychology of change.
